Six weeks to go and nearing 80 vendors!
It has been a long journey since June of 2015 when we began the work of creating this landmark Vegfest for the Hudson Valley! And here we are in the final sprint - !!! Looking at all that has grown from the seeds of an idea, after years of dreaming about the possibility, it is absolutely amazing to see the vendors, speakers, sponsors and energy that will be assembling. There literally is something for everyone - the vegan and the veg-curious - who will attend the first-ever Hudson Valley Vegfest on September 23rd & 24th at Gold’s Gym in Poughkeepsie. World-renowned speakers on two stages, food and fitness demos that will educate and entertain, music, film and art reflecting the vibrant vegan lifestyle. And the FOOD!! Let’s not forget the amazing plant-based culinary offerings too numerous to mention.
WALKING THE WALK:
Vegans take environmentalism and sustainability incredibly seriously (in adopting this lifestyle, one's carbon footprint is vastly reduced) and as such, Hudson Valley Vegfest is proud to be a ZERO WASTE event. We have partnered with Zero to Go, an education-based waste management company (They like to call themselves "Trash Superstars!" and we heartily agree!) At several staffed stations spaced around the venue, attendees will be able to learn about proper composting, recycling and environmentally sound waste management... and see it carried out before their eyes! We are working with our vendors so that festival waste need never see a landfill.

New presenters have been added to the schedule: NALIAKA WAKHISI will be doing a cooking demonstration that will definitely have your mouth watering and inspire you to make healthier choices (we hear CURRY will be playing a starring role) and more wondering participants are listed on our SPEAKERS AND PRESENTATIONS page!
